NEW PARENT BENEFITS

Adding Baby to Benefits

Your little one MUST be enrolled in insurance within 30 days of birth! Follow these steps if you’re planning on adding baby to benefits:

  1. Go to the “Me” tab
  2. Click the “Benefits” tile
  3. Select “Birth” from the list of options, and enter the event date which will be baby’s DOB
  • Add your baby’s information and hit save. Once you add their DOB, the SSN will no longer be required.
  • Follow the prompts to add the baby to the benefits you want to elect. For instance, if you are adding your baby to medical, click “View or Change,” check the box next to baby’s name, click “View Plan” for the one you would like to select, then “Update Cart.”
    • Repeat this for all benefits you want to add the child to: Dental, Vision, Child Voluntary Life, etc.

Birth certificate or crib certificate with your name, baby’s name, and baby’s date of birth, or a hospital verification of birth.

  • Call the benefits team when you receive baby’s SSN to get this added. Do not email a copy of the card or number.
  • You can also log into Oracle, select the “Benefits” tile, and update your family’s information on the left-hand side.

Remember!

**DO NOT wait until you receive the SSN to report a birth! This may cause you to miss the deadline.

Leave Policies

Parental Leave Policy

Liberty offers four weeks of Parental Leave as of the date of baby’s birth, for the Liberty employee who has completed 90 days of employment. Follow these steps to take Parental Leave:

When baby has arrived, reach out to your district office team and your manager to notify them for Parental Leave.
If you’re a Colorado employee, you may qualify for CO FAMLI. Please email Benefits@libertyenergy.com for CO FAMLI.

Proof of birth is required. This document needs to include:

  • The Liberty employee’s name as the parent
  • Baby’s name
  • Baby’s date of birth

Refer to the “Adding Baby to Your Insurance Plan” section above if you would like to add your baby to Liberty Energy’s insurance.

*Employees can also enroll in Building Healthy Families through the Anthem’s Sydney Health Mobile App.

Childbearing Leave Policy

Employees who have gone through childbirth can take up to 14 weeks off, paid, through a combination of Liberty’s Childbearing Leave (10 weeks), Parental Leave (4 weeks), Short-Term Disability (STD), and any applicable State or Federal leave policies available. Here’s a list of things to do once baby arrives:

Notify your manager and the Benefits Team. The Benefits Team will enter your leave into Oracle.

Prudential Financial is the company who manages our leave policies. Reach out to the Benefits Team before baby arrives for information on how to apply. They will automatically review for Short-Term Disability (STD), CO FAMLI, and FMLA as applicable.

Refer to the “Adding Baby to Benefits” section above if you would like to add your baby to Liberty Energy’s insurance.

* Employees can also enroll in Building Healthy Families through the Anthem’s Sydney Health Mobile App.

Check in with the Best Damn Benefits Team to discuss any updates regarding your estimated return. During this time, check in with your manager as well. The Benefits Team will reach out about two-weeks before your scheduled return date to ensure everything is on track.
