july’s Challenge

Don’t Be Salty Challenge!

Sodium is an important nutrient that helps keep your body fluids balanced and your muscles and nerves working well. But most Americans eat too much sodium—about 3,400 mg a day, which is 1,100 mg more than the recommended amount. Most of this sodium comes from salt in processed and restaurant foods. Eating too much sodium can raise your blood pressure, which increases the risk of heart disease and stroke.

Join the “Don’t Be Salty” challenge and complete easy daily activities to lower your daily sodium intake and protect your heart.
